Selma MALMBERG (Le Mans Université & CEPREMAP) présentera un papier intitulé "Solving and estimating a heterogeneous agent model with aggregate shocks".

Abstract: This work proposes to summarise the process for solving a DSGE model featuring heterogeneous agents. The procedure includes 1) solving the stationary state, 2) obtaining the model dynamics and 3) estimating the parameters. It is presented step by step for a reference model, a New Keynesian heterogeneous agents model (HANK) with one asset and endogenous labour. Compared to the predictions of an equivalent representative-agent model, this framework allows for the simultaneous analysis of the macroeconomic and inequality consequences of aggregate shocks. In particular, the same shock has very heterogeneous implications for different types of agents. Moreover, these differentiated dynamics may take a very long time to dissipate.
